South Hill Vineyards offers a luxury farm-stay experience with three luxury accommodation options in Elgin – enjoy one of six luxurious, spacious rooms in our Guest House; or relax in the tranquil, romantic one-bedroom Pumphouse Honeymoon Cottage. Our latest unique House Boat, Stokies Ark is perfect for a fun-filled family or friends getaway, on our main dam, it sleeps 6 adults, or 4 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of water toys, great fishing or simply sit-back on the comfortable beanbag cushions.
All rooms at South Hill include king-size beds (or twins, by arrangement), high thread cotton count bed linen & towels, spacious bathrooms with bath & shower and fynbos inspired guest amenities, tea & coffee station, in-room safe, WIFI and are serviced daily.
Our Restaurant and Art Gallery are open from Wednesday till Sunday 08h00 – 16h00.
Please note that we do insist on a minimum two-night stay over weekends. Check-in time is from 14h00 and check-out at 10h00 the next morning. Reservations are only confirmed on receipt of a 50% non-refundable deposit. We hope you enjoy our luxury accommodation in Elgin.

As part of your overnight stay package, you can enjoy a bottle of complimentary wine in the Pumphouse and 2 bottles of wine in the Villa.

If visiting the Elgin Valley

Pop into local farm stalls, markets and restaurants including Peregrine, Orchard Farm Stall, Houw Hoek and the newly opened Elgin Railway Market.
For the more adventurous, the Elgin Valley is the gateway to prime mountain bike routes including Lebanon, Paul Cluver and Oak Valley; trail running routes; zip lining; golf; quad biking; 4 wheeler and horse riding adventures.
Bot River and Hermanus for whale watching during season are a comfortable drive from South Hill.
Drive to Franschhoek via the spectacular Franschhoek Pass
Kleinmond, Pringle Bay and Rooi Els are close by coastal towns.
Paul Cluver offers open air concerts in their amphitheatre during the summer months.
For flower lovers, Elgin Open Gardens are hosted in early November each year and a visit to the Harold Porter Botanical Garden at Bettys Bay is a must.
